“Great Fall” from rains, floods, strong winds coming!

RAINS, FLOODS, STRONG WINDS BATTER THE WORLD: News outlets in the Philippines and around the world carried three significant items Sunday, November 22, 2009, Philippine time, which confirm in no uncertain terms the admonitions of “rains, floods and strong winds” made by the Lord Jesus Christ against those who no longer listen to His Word and obey His commands and decrees, and who are therefore already set up for the “great fall”.

The items, as headlined by the media, including our very own Philippine Daily Inquirer, are the following: “Rain-lashed Britain braces for more floods”; “Ireland battles severe flooding”; and “Northeast monsoon brings strong winds to RP”.

These were the news only for Sunday. In previous days and months (and even years) though, we have been relentlessly reading items about “rains, floods and strong winds” wreaking havoc around the world, killing hundreds of thousands and damaging properties valued at billions and billions of dollars.

The unfortunate thing is that all of these are not about to stop as of yet. Jesus Christ was emphatic about the fact that these “rains, floods and strong winds” will all continue until they shall have caused the “great fall” of everyone and everything.

JESUS CHRIST WARNS ABOUT RAINS, FLOODS AND STRONG WINDS: Where did I find about Jesus Christ’s admonitions about “rains, floods and strong winds” as causing the “great fall”? From the Bible, of course, and, more particularly, from Matthew 7:26 to 27.

The King James Version states Matthew 7:267-27 this way: “And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it…”

On the other hand, here is how the New International Version puts Matthew 7:26-27: “…everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash..."

The English Standard Version puts it in this manner: “…And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it…"

“GREAT FALL” AWAITS ALL FOOLISH MEN: Is it a coincidence that much more than SARS, swine flu, ebola virus and other flu diseases, “rains, floods and strong winds” nowadays are causing the death of hundreds and thousands of men and women across the globe?

Was Jesus Christ’s use of these calamities in Matthew 7:26-27 simply an “accident”, or a “happenstance”, that merely coincided with the actual realities in the world some 2,000 years after He issued His warning against those who listen to His Word but do not do them?

In all humility, my view is that, no, it was not a coincidence. I am of the conviction that when Jesus Christ spoke about “rains, floods and strong winds” as causing the “great fall” of people who no longer obey Him and the Father in heaven, He was in reality describing the mode by which the “great fall” was to come.

Surely, for all of us who accept and have faith that Jesus Christ is our God and Savior, He was speaking truthfully about what was to befall all of us, if we continue to remain “foolish”, listening to His Word but not doing and obeying them.

RESURRECTION OF JESUS , AS FIRST GLORIOUS MYSTERY: After the “Sorrowful Mysteries”, the “Glorious Mysteries” in the Holy Rosary of the Roman Catholic Christians follow.

The “Glorious Mysteries” constitute the last batch of the mysteries of the Holy Rosary.

The first of the so called “Glorious Mysteries” is the “Resurrection of Jesus”, and long accounts of it are contained in Matthew 28:1 to 20, Mark 16:1 to 20, Luke 24:1 to53, and John 20 and 21.

All of these Gospels say that Mary Magdalene and another woman went to the place where Jesus was entombed, after his crucifixion and death, and found that His body was no longer there.

Then, an angel of the Lord appeared, and told the women that Jesus has risen, as He prophesied about Himself, and was in fact going to Galilee , to meet His disciples.

Shortly after this and in many other incidents thereafter, Jesus showed Himself to His disciples, allowing them to touch His wounds, even eating with them.

The Bible also shows that it was also after His resurrection that Jesus gave His disciples what is now known as the Great Commission: to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus likewise ordered His disciples to teach the nations to obey everything that He taught and commanded the disciples to do, assuring them that He will be with them, to the very end of the age.
